Random Generators of most of the book


I have created a range of perchance generators for the core of the Wyrd Lands book as it currently exists on my computer: https://perchance.org/regioncreation

What these generators capture very much is The Wyrd Lands. This is a game totally about a place that I want to feel as powerful and authentic as any RPG setting can be. These generators automate what in the "book" will likely be a session 0 - the creation of a world in which to play.  

They are built on details of different types of landscape, cultural groups, trades, stories, political roles, landscape fertility and so much more. There is a lot in here, for example across 8 cultural groups there are around 48 cultural beliefs, 48 cultural practices, 96 elements of appearance  and 160 names.

I have talked a bit about these generators and how to use them in this blog post. If people want a deeper explanation of the code, which you can access from the generator, let me know.

This is going to be the start of me transferring some of the written work into a format that I am happy to share here. I think I am finally reaching a point in my writing where I just want to share things; hopefully this will lead to me releasing things more regularly here.

FEUD was written using these prompts.

I am hoping to work over the next few weeks on a glossary to go with these generators, hopefully accessible from within the generators, which will explain some of the terms that currently won't make much sense without the surrounding text.
